Confession (HiccupxAstrid)

"Astrid...there's something I need to tell you..." Hiccup's tone was ominous, and set off the alarm bells in Astrid's mind. He Wrapped his hands around hers, and his gaze dropped.

Astrid's mind spun with the possibilities. She couldn't begin to fathom what could make Hiccup this serious. She didn't want to think about what it could be. Her heart begin to break a little on the inside, and she opened her mouth to say something, anything, beg if she had to, for whatever this was to be over. And then Hiccup began.

"Astrid, I...I have to get married to become chief." Hiccup began. Astrid's stomach dropped. She felt so much overwhelming sadness crushing in on her. Of course...Hiccup had to get married. Of course she wouldn't be the perfect wife for the future chief. When had she even been entertaining such thoughts?! How could she of all the vikings in the Archipelego possibly think that- "And...I have to ask for your hand in marriage."

'What? What did he just say? Why...what?' Astrid stood, dumbfounded by the statement.

"And...Dad says that I'll have to do it in a public place...and I was thinking that...Astrid? Could...could you react a little?" Hiccup sputtered nervously. His face began to turn to a look of fear. He hadn't thought that she would object to it...they'd kind of talked about marriage before. He didn't think she'd think it was so bad...but then again he'd also once thought that he would become a great dragon killer and be the dragon killing hero of Berk, so what did he know? His heart began to drop to his feet. And then Astrid found her words.

"You are possibly THE BIGGEST IDIOT in the HISTORY of BERK, you know that?!" Astrid ripped her hands from his grasp, and jabbed him in the chest to emphasize each point. "You bring me ALLLLL the way out here just to ask me if it would be OKAY to ask if you could ask me to marry you?!"

"Well, I uh...I just didn't know if it would-"

"HICCUP." Astrid glared angrily, cutting him off. "The answer is yes."

And then Astrid pulled him in, and kissed him. He softened to mush in her rough embrace. And then she pushed him away from her and punched him in the shoulder.

"THAT was for scaring me." Astrid huffed. "And the kiss was for everything else."

"You...uh...you do realize I'm going to have to ask you again...in public right?"

"I know."

"And you're fine with that?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Uh...because you're the toughest strongest viking on all of Berk?"

"And your girlfriend, that just agreed to marry you once. How tough could the second time be?"

"Uhhhh..."

And scene. Hope you don't mind me going a bit overboard...I got an idea and ran with it... XD
